Anyone with a similar experience?

I have a dedicated server and my concern at the outset was that with my overwhelming schedule and limited server-admin experience it would be too much for me.

Well my fears were allayed, I bought an account and now I am overwhelmed, have a server that's less than half of what it could or should be and will cancel it this week to simply remove this hassle from my life.

I am surely not alone in having coming to this point?

So....

Has anyone else been able to create a more constructive resolution (than simply giving up); for example having Support reconfigure the whole machine as it was one for their own, off which they were going to sell reseller accounts?

Would this be a wise way to proceed; at least then I'd have a server that works after a fashion and a known-good configuration which I can understand.

Your thoughts are much appreciated.

JulesInFrance.

What exactly is the problem you're running into? Can you clarify this statement --

Getting a new server usually comes with a bit of responsibility. Luckily surpass can assist with most of the issues you come across.

There are several new dedicated server getting started guides already posted here, in the cpanel forums, and all across the net.

I'm going to have to agree with captain abuse though, no one can help if you don't give us more info.
