Is this supposed to help?

I need to sendmail.

My DS as delivered doesn't sendmail.

So I asked Support; hey guys, how do I sendmail?

The reply was;

Quote:
Hello,

You have the following setting enabled in WHM's Tweak Settings:

"Prevent the user "nobody" from sending out mail to remote addresses (PHP and CGI scripts generally run as nobody if you are not using PHPSuexec and Suexec respectively.)"

You also do not appear to be using phpsuexec. The combination of these two things will cause php mail scripts to fail.

Regards,
xxxx
If this was so logical (what ever it means) why wasn't the server delivered with that as the default in the first place?

complain or correct it

Logically it was not delivered in that fashion because

1. PHPsuexec is still not commonly used in most cases. It can stop many existing user scripts unless you know how to properly modify them. You would probably be un-happy if this happened too

2. The nobody email setting is the default for cpanel. It is the default because of a major security issues in apache that can cause your server to be used for spamming.

I'm not sure about you but I believe the response they gave was very helpful and diagnosed the problem correctly. I don't know what else you could ask for.
