Dual Core Vs. Dual CPU for vBulletin board.

The title says it all.

I'm currently running a Celeron 1.7 with 1GB RAM, I run a vBulletin board (average 200 users online) and it's growing fast so I need an upgrade.

What would you think would be better?

Dual Xeon 2.8 - 2GB RAM
or
Intel Dual Core 2 E6400 2.1 GHz 2GB

Both are around the same price.

I would go with the Dual Xeon as it is two physically processors, while the dual core is two processors in one.

We have a good amount of Dual Xeon 2.4's in stock we can give you a good deal on just contact sales in the helpdesk

Out of those 2 I would defiantly choose the dual xeon.

Don't take that offer lightly about contacting sales You can probably get a even better deal then you were thinking.

Drop one to sales instead, your old one will get passed there eventually but they seem quick at the moment (tempts fate...)

hmmmmm.. Your ticket got moved to dedicated server queue for your question but for some reason the status was changed to just blank instead of open, hold, closed..

I'm notifying management now so we can see what in the world happened with that ticket, I've never seen that happen before

Status was changed back to open and we are having one of our Dedicated Server Sales guys looking at it right now
