Converting a reseller account into a dedicated one
I can't find straightforward information on the process of converting a reseller account to a Rapid deployment dedicated one. I want everything carried over exactly, with the cpanel and whm setup and everything. I don't want to just buy a dedicated server until I know thats the right way to go about doing things.

As Nathon mentioned there is the procedure on how to sign up for the dedicated packages in the knowledge base.
When you sign up for the dedicated server (with cPanel) and you receive your login information, simply open a ticket in our sales queue with your server login information as well as a request for us to migrate your accounts. Because it is a cPanel 2 cPanel transfer your accounts will be copied over in their entirety with the same usernames, passwords, databases, emails, etc. At this point, with your permission, we will forward your DNS so that your domains point to the new server. You will then need to update your DNS at your registrar to the ones for you new Dedicated server and once propagated, you can then cancel your reseller account or you can even keep it for redundancy ![]() I hope this has clarified any of your doubts, if not let us know and well do our best to help you out ![]()

Thanks guys. I didn't know if jumping in and just buying the dedicated plan was the right approach, but so far Surpass has been fantastic about reimbursing me when I do something stupid and order something im not allowed to, or in the wrong way, or whatever.
The... uh... payment verification process for dedicated servers is kind a ridiculous though. But with spam and all I can see why it isn't trivial. |
