webdav
Anyone using webdav? I've been considering installing it to basically host my own calendars, not necessarily use if for file transfer/storage/etc. Before I go digging up how to get it running, how do you guys feel about it?
I read through some of the old convos regarding 'dav. Do many feel the same as they did now? |

I haven't read the old convos, but I was never interested in using webdav over any existing solution when the idea came up. However, if there's something that NEEDS it, then you might not have another choice [unless you have a lot of money or resources to throw at it].

I have to admit that the WebDisk feature/functionality is very exciting, regardless of how it's implemented. I'm lacking experience with webdav, because the security and flexibility of sftp, scp, and rsync have always satisfied my needs. I wonder what webdav offers over the other tools/protocols/programs that made it the back-end of choice for the WebDisk...
So much curiosity and so little time... :-) D.Shak |
