Which OS to use?

I am currently purchasing a dedicated server and am curious which os to choose?

Any ideas?

Are you familiar with any of them?

I'd suggest debian or Ubuntu, personally.

Debian or Ubuntu, unless you want cPanel...
Ubuntu has a nice and helpful community, which is a plus (but sometimes it seems too large).

CentOS seems to be becoming the standard, but I like Fedora Core better.

I use Ubuntu (not that it really means anything...)

What OS you suggest if my server runs with cPanel ?
The options i get is CentOS, Fedora Core 3, Fedora Core 4, and Gentoo...

CentOS would be the best option for cPanel. Gentoo doesn't work with cPanel yet

Well, I went with CentOS. The only other distro I have ever played with was Fedora.
