I think I see what happened now. From what I see the box is fine, was worried that you were missing some vital organs

Looks like you didnt do a direct root login, you super user'd over. When you do the su command be sure you do "su -"

Go ahead and exit back out and do
su -

or do a direct login as root. After that you should be able to run all of the commands on that page with no prob

Funny how that lil dash does so much

The chkconfig --level 0123456 mrtg on command is running ok now...

New problem...
# up2date --configure
-bash: up2date: command not found


Also when i am restarting mrtg i get this errors :

# service mrtg restart
Shutting down MRTG: [ OK ]
Starting MRTG: Daemonizing MRTG ...

Not familiar with that error but according to google it's normal
