Monitoring software installation
Hello...
I am trying to install a monitoring software in my dedi but i am not quite good with linux commands. I already trying to install MRTG and Cacti but in both cases i am stuck somewhere in the process and i cant finish it. Is there anyone that have a little spare time so he can help me ? Try
ls -al /etc/init.d |grep mrt and see what comes up. If something comes up run it. /etc/init.d/mrtg restart

OK is working with the command
/etc/init.d/mrtg restart Now i am continue with the guide and i am stuck again here : Quote:

I understand what is going on but I am confused about your setup. I guess I just assumed you were on a centOS cpanel box
Is this a cpanel box? or even a rpm based system(centOS, redhat, fedora)

Are you logged in as root?
Toss me the outputs of ls /etc/init.d/chkservd w (u can block ur IP off of this) Also run updatedb locate chkconfig
