Okay...

So I see from the sales page that if I were a new customer, I could get into a dual core with 2GB for $170/month...but I don't see CPU upgrades as an option in the server upgrades section.

Given that I've been a dedi customer for over a year, it's apparent that the little old Celeron box that I'm running is now seriously obsolete.

This raises a very interesting question: is there an opportunity for me to upgrade with a package comparable to a new subscriber? My server config would cost about half of what I'm paying right now, if I were to sign up today...but I also understand that existing customers seldom get the same level of enticement.

How about some guidance here? What would you recommend? It's obviously disenchanting to see that my server only costs $70/mo. for new subscribers, and I clearly need to upgrade..

Thanks for the help, guys.

I suggest opening a ticket with our sales department. Our dedicated server people should be able to get you pricing that is even better than what we have posted on the site, as you have been a customer for quite some time.

As for hardware recommendations, take a look at my previous post.

FYI -

I took your advice, removed, and completed the upgrade last week.

Thanks for the help.

Cool -- hope you're happy with the Core 2 Duo setup. It is by far my favorite processor out of everything that is available right now.
