a couple of questions about whm cs vs autopilot

i am finding that i do infact need to implement a better management system for my accounts and i was wondering what the best way to go would be so i have a few questions

1. i am unsure whether to go back to whmautopilot(which i bought a liscence for in 2004 but sort of abandoned it) or go with the WHMCS. i do believe if i pay something i can get my autopilot liscence update (i think about $60)

2.Where do i get whmcs?

3. in installing either... i am wondering what account to place it in . i have my main account but also basically operate 2 resellers underneath that. Should i install it in root or in my main account?

4. do either have the capacity to use 2 domain resellers? i use 2... one is the cheapest and integrated into autopilot(resellerclub) but i also use namecheap if private hosting or a .ca is required. it is split almost evenly

i am sure more questions may arise as some are answered

WHMCS is pretty easy to use. A lot of functionality if you have a DEDI too... suspend, create, etc.

WHMCS allows you to use several different "resellers" for domain names and you can indeed assign one or the other to certain domain types.

ok so what do i do to get whm cs? cant seem to find it...

As a foot note ... i enter whm cs in google and the very first link was this post...that i find really incredible as it is a day old.....WOW

hmmmm

i tried entering "solacehosting.com" and it told me there was a liscence already in use there even though i never went for this prior. ok... so i had to rename my server to "server1.solacehosting.com" as i was transferring to my colo from my previous dedi. so server1 worked however when i enter my email .. it says its already in use? dont know if this is in conflict with the autopilot liscence i bought back in jan 04 or ??
i could use a separate email however im a bit perplexed that im being identified as an existing client when that didnt happen..

.ooOOO wonders if my old server was allocated with such even though it appears inactive in my decc. Perhaps that old dedi is still named "solacehosting"?

just open a ticket at whmcs and they'll reset your license.
