Question Disk Space fluctuation?

Anyone randomly sees their disk space changing? I'm on the old 15gb space plan btw.

Anyways, I get email constantly saying "Drive Space Critical". Right now I'm 93% full which shouldn't be the case. I'll be sending in a ticket in a while but not a problem for now.

Look at the Disk Usage page and see where the files are. I've seen this be anything from a \temp folder to the trash to an old email box full of spam or the default catch-all address being full of spam.

Are you running backups at all? If so, that's probably why -- backups being removed and replaced.

I have backups disabled under WHM as far as I know. I do them manually like every 14 days.

It just changes randomly all day. 10 minutes ago it was 11.10 Gb now its 12.25 Gb total space.

I swear sometimes that cPanel's diskusage script is below:

Code:
<?php
function diskusage($max) {
     return rand(0,$max);
}
?>
In all seriousness though, when you submit a ticket, post the ticket ID here and we'll look into it for ya

I've been replying and stuff to the ticket but I'm still confused about some things. In VPS Control Panel, my total disk space is now 8.98 Gb and used is 510.09 Mb.

This was in the ticket my disk space

3.8M /bin
3.1M /etc
1.6G /home
11M /lib
17M /opt
258M /proc
204M /root
3.7M /sbin
5.5M /scripts
2.0G /usr
642M /var
4.6G total

My total used to show exactly 15.00 Gb so why the lower total disk space now?
