How to create resellers with your dedicated server
Dedicated Servers > How to add resellers
1. Login into WHM root http://ServerIP:2086 user: root pass: root password 2. create an account as if was going to be a normal account under Account Functions > Create a New Account 3. Once you have created a "normal" account we want to give it reseller status 4. Go up to Server Setup in WHM left top side " Reseller Center" 5. once you click on reseller center you will go under " Add Reseller Privileges " from the drop down menu you will see a list of all the normal accounts, select the domain you added in step 2 then click OK on the right of the list 6. click on "reseller center" again now look on the right where it says "Edit Reseller Privileges/Nameservers" you will see the domain we just added reseller privelages, select it and click ok 7. Now you will see a long page of stuff, look towards the middle and check on the little box that says : " Limit Accounts that aefc148 can create by Resource Usage (unlimited it not acceptable here; Just uncheck the checkboxs to remove the limits)" 8. then under that you will see "Resource Max Allowed " you can set there how much space and bandwidth you want to allow them to have from your server. 9. scroll down to where it says " Please select which features aefc148 should have access to " you can select what options you want your reseller to have, now be smart about what you want them to have, DO NOT assign them anything that says warning, also use common sense on other options where it says nameserver information leave it blank then lastly hit save at the bottom 10. How your reseller will have access to the server for cpanel AND whm using http://serverIP:2082 http://serverIP:2086 the user and pass are the same for cpanel, ftp, and whm to logout WHM just close out the browser it will log you out If anyone wishes to copy this at least give credit to SurpassHosting.com who took the time to write it, we looked around the net and couldn't find any how to add resellers or create resellers in cpanel / whm step by step thank you. |
