Transfer tool in WHM won't work for sites around 500megs and larger. The software just chokes on it.

I found the best thing to do is do a .tar backup of you old home directory, then upload that .tar file to your new server's/accounts public_html directory and then contact support and they'll untar it for you in that directory.
Then you just need to transfer the database over assuming you're using a database.

you could probabily get away with uploading a self extracting file with your website init and have cron jobs run it?
