its where i work, so I kinda have that advantage... But our uptime is pretty sick here... i think surpass does a great job and definitely did what i wanted it to do for a few months till i could get my colo space.

your company keeps each and every part of its site up 99.999?
if so I'm impressed that's a real accomplishment. does the site involve lots of transactions? because amazon doesn't manage that, nor does ebay. |

not sure if you misunderstood or what, but i never said we are up 5 9's
granted a box can go down for its own reasons but we hit that 99.95% uptime on our network that the colo runs off of |

Hold on. You can't do that. Didn't you know that the only part of the server that actually uses electricity is the part that has the blinking lights? OH, and the monitor... the rest of it runs on Caffeeeeeeeen from the breath of the admins...<GRIN>
