Dedicated server operating system
I was wondering what version of Linux is installed on the servers if you choose RedHat 9 on the dedicated server signup page.
I realize that it says RH9, but many companies have now moved to installing Fedora in it's place, due to the fact that is has long since passed it's end of life. I'm sure you can request that Fedora be installed, but will RH9 really be installed if it is selected, and no comments are otherwise made? Thanks! |

I know that there are communities that release errata for RH9, but there's nothing official. Maybe they install a version from one such community.
RHEL is gross. I really hate it. |

Fedora is not that great for servers. It was developed with desktops in mind, and is a tad sluggish (runs slowly at times) for what little it really provides. RHEL is bloated (overloaded with useless 'features') but still runs quite well for a server. I just don't care for it much.
