I agree with everything you say blaze. And I thank you for your reply. A reseller is a smart idea, I think I may go with that. As for the design, of course I am going to top that one out :P I have a profession splash, logo, design, and image viewer in the making. Trust me, it will look a lot better. As for the reseller, what is the thing about it? I am not sure how I can be able to sell hosting to other people. This topic alone is really getting my excited to start this site and keep it running for a LONG time.

Oh, well, you don't need to sell hosting to other people. It could be useful if you have many sites with different domains, or even allow you to host a friend and give them their own CPanel.
If that doesn't interest you, you can always choose a shared plan. The OC5 play is a good bang for your buck, as are most of the others. The smallest plan is 2 GB space, which is much more than you're likely to need. So really, you just need to determine the amount of traffic you expect to get, and get a plan that reflects that. |

Standard/Power/Deluxe/Pro/Extreme/Max
Out of these five plans which one do you 'recommend' I do not want to buy space that I am not going to need. So I was thinking along the Power or Deluxe. |

Actually, I recommend the OC5. It has the space between the two packages, and the bandwidth of the Pro package.
http://www.surpasshosting.com/ocplans.php The only difference is you have to pay yearly. Oh, and it's cheaper than both the Power and Deluxes packages. |

What is the thing behind this package? I am surely thinking about buying from you, or an alternative. I am not to sure on how it works. I can tell you, this site that I am going to have is going to whore up alot of space. Images, Images, Images! Tons of different images and possibly some flash stuff. I will also have music for games to, like background music. So, you would say the OC is the way to go on this one? And if so do you mind explaining it to me? Because, I am looking to buy tommorow.

I haven't look at all the plans and not about too, as I don't have that much time and the info is too detailed to be explained in this post -- but I can say this is what you need to focus on:
Get at least 300MB of disk space and at least 10GB of traffic to start. As I said, you can always upgrade if you need too. Don't spend too much money on hosting bandwidth and extra space if you don't need it yet. You must remember, you have "zero" visitors -- so your traffic metering will barely break the 1Gb threshold in my opinion within the 1st month. Save money on the hosting apsect now -- spend money on marketing to bring visitors to your site. Then monitor your traffic carefully. If you hit over 3GB in one week, then upgrade... because you'll need the bandwidth. The reseller plan is good if you plan on hosting sites. Maybe the possibility of having affiliated sites and hosting these sites on your own is a good idea? If you have affiliates that clone your site, host their domains on your reseller server for free, then you have total control of what they can do and what they can't. Understand? If they break your terms, then you can always suspend them. ![]() Again, where people lack the most is marketing of their sites. They spend too much money on hosting early on and not enough on marketing. Hosting is something you can upgrade -- but without marketing, your site is dead. People will never visit you if they don't know you exist. ![]() P.S. -- One final piece of advice -- never sign up with any hosting company on a yearly basis unless you have tried them first. You must remember, one year is a long time and many things can happen. Try a hosting company for at least 60 days and see how things run for you. Then, once you are confident, make the commitment. I do recommend Surpass, but each user has their opinion and opinions vary. So be confident in your decision before committing. ![]()
