Question Domain transfering?

Hi,
My domain, neko-simba.net, is currently hosted with E-Starr (e-starr.com). Lately I haven't been too happy with their purformance and I was wondering about how I might be able to go about transfering the domain to Surpass. Do I need to delete the domain with E-Starr (and backup my files), buy it again with you and then upload all of my files (it's a rather large domain with a whole LOT of subfolders and subdomains, so that would be extremely painful to go through. x_x)? Or is there another way that's quicker and easier on my part? I've heard that Surpass Hosting is a great hosting company from many people from The Anime Fanlistings' forum (animefanlistings.org/board) and have wanted to see about switching to you for awhile. Thanks!

EDIT: I was also wondering about how you go about hacking and flooding. I give E-Starr credit that they did protect me well when my domain was being attacked. I just want to make sure that I'm going with a hosting company that will fight out the hacker until the end like E-Starr did.

theres 2 things to consider her.

1) the domain. you can leave the domain with the registrar - or transfer it to surpass. regardless it won't affect point 2) the hosting

2) hosting - transferring the files doens't necessarily have to be an issue. does the estarr use cpanel?

Yes, E-Starr uses Cpanel. I've read the thing in FAQ (after I posted this, lol), but there's one problem. The email listed is my host's email, not mine. It's support[at]e-starr.com. She NEVER responds to me anymore. My email is simba_rulz[at]cox.net. Bit of a problem...ne?

If your email is not listed as the registrant, then your at your current hosts mercy for the transfer, both the domain and the hosting. You'll need to request your current host to change the email address or at a minimum change the domains nameservers to Surpass'.

If you fear that a hacker is at your doorstep, support is but a ticket away. They live to deal with things like that...well, I think they're that passionate about it atleast.
