Right. Considering you can't pay for either oc plans by the month, doing any kind of conversion to a monthly price isn't applicable... and you'd still be wrong. The difference between two oc5 plans and one oc10 plan is $41 a year ($159 - $118)... or $3.42 a month, since there are 12 months in a year, not 10. But that number means nothing, since you need to pay the whole price up front anyways. Please don't try to justify wrong answers, you'll confuse people who think you know what you're talking about.

Wrong you have to also count the fees for using a 3rd party billing service like paypal. Second that 4.10 is per month that he should be getting from his visitors. So he will still pay the 159 a year upfront and getting the difference from the visitors during the year.
Try to understand that you don't see everything and are not aware of everything. Last edited by oc12; March 25th, 2005 at 8:00 PM.. |

What kind of fees are you getting charged from paypal now? Because I see that you can get charged for exchanging money from another currency or withdrawing money from a foreign bank. Since we're discussing USD funds with no indication of it being from a foreign country, the only other fee from paypal is if you have a business account and are recieving funds... But you do not need a business account in order to recieve donations.
oc12, I am really tired of this apparent vendetta you seem to have against me. You try to talk down and insult everyone at any point in time. I'm going to ask you now to stop it, because you're being childish. My correction was to be helpful because you stated false information. Now you feel the need to make some high flung story to save face. There is simply no prescribed amount of donations a website should get in a month, and if there was a goal to reach, it wouldn't just happen to be the yearly difference with a decimal point added into it. voidet, my apologies that this occured in your thread. You should try emailing presales surpasshosting.com to see if they would create a custom account for a subdomain, it might be possible. You would be better off getting an oc10 package however. The reasoning is if it's your oc5 package with the main domain attached to it that goes offline, your index page linking to the two subdomains would disappear too. If you have an oc10 package, you can make your index page, and your two subdomain areas seperate entities with their own pool of bandwidth. That way if one goes offline, the index and the other page are still online. I'm going to close this thread now, because I believe your question can be directed towards official support now. If you have further questions, you can start a new thread. oc12, if you wish to discuss what I have to say, you may send me a PM or an email and we can do it in private.
