Server Recommendation

Hello all,

I'm thinking of signing up for one of your dedicated server packages. Currently I am on a dedicated plan with another hosting company, unfortunatly this is not working out. My site is down occasionally without notice and not much help from their "support" dept. Here is what I have:

PhP-Nuke 7.4 installed with 2 Gallery's embedded and 1 Gallery standalone. The standalone Gallery has aprox. 25,000+ images (in thumbs, medium and full sizes). The other embedded Gallery's have aprox. 1000 images, same setup. Daily traffic ranges from 3gb to sometimes as high as 10gb. Monthy bandwidth transfer was at 196,000mb as of 2 days ago. I do plan on moving away from Nuke as it doesn't seem suited for high-traffic. Gallery 2 will prolly work better for my needs as well.

My question is what plan do you offer that will work for what I need? Here are a few cpanel screenshots. Also can you transfer everything over including email accounts and keep all the directories and content intact? Thank you!

The P4 with dual harddrives, 1.5 gb of ram. If you can afford it get 2 gigs.

Since you have cPanel, they can transfer your site over free.

Thank you for the quick reply. Is this the one you were referring to with the additional 1gb ram purchase:

Intel Pentium IV 2.4Ghz 533Mhz Bus
Memory: 512MB DDR System Memory
Storage: Dual 80GB Hard Drive w/Backups
Transfer: 1,200 GB per month

Yes it was. I recommand the dual harddrives frankly because pictures are priceless. With that many that you have, you're going to need lot of ram.

What are you specs that you have now?

I would give you the stats from the server, but my site has been down for about 12 hrs with no access to any of my pages, email accounts, ftp and everything else. I will post a screenshot soon as I can get it. Thanks for the recommendation.

Don't worry about the stats, since you can't get them.

Honestly, I wouldn't give my 3 year old nephew a computer with that underpowered hardware. (You can guess that I have been up all night)

The P4 with at least 1GB of RAM would do way better than your existing. You can add more memory later on if you dont have the money for 1.5 or 2 GB of RAM.

A celeron is OK for a desktop computer. Heck, the cash registers at your local best-buy store are probably 486's... fine for that ONE application. But for a webserver? Geeez.
