Ive signed up for a new account almost 6 hours ago and I havent received my account details.

Is it all okay ?

Yes, it's not an automated process anymore. Give it a few more hours and if you still haven't recieved it, post here again.

Hopefully it won't be much longer

The reason why it is no longer Automatic, is to prevent fraud and spam from spammers.

Isn't there any chance to create a verifying System per SMS or so?

Its not a big thing, but one of the features i loved at surpass is that you dont have to wait if you have a project under your fingers that needs to be published...

Yeah, decent idea, but not everyone has SMS.

Oh sorry, but i don't know any Webmaster or Sysop, who hasn't got a mobile Phone - and if not theres always the way left to make it optional and verify it per hand...

I don't have a mobile phone.. nor do I want one.

But yeah, the reason have been provided. Many hosts don't provide instant activation for the same reason.
