I don't feel like starting a new thread but I really want an answer here.

I cancelled my hosting but it still went through and I had to pay $6. Don't I get my money back?

You will get your money back, yes. It won't be returned until the payment is completely processed though. Like if you paid through paypal, it can take over a week for the payment to "clear," and only afterwards will you be refunded. If the payment is completely cleared, send a ticket into billing, and they will ensure that the payment is refunded. http://desk.surpasshosting.com

http://www.namecheap.com

I have yet to actually purchase domains from them (need the funds :P ) but they are cheaper than GoDaddy, similar league as GoDaddy in quality, and allow PayPal payments (in fact, you can pay them with paypal and sort credits there).

Anyways, hoep that helps. My Domain? I get that for free as I have connections lol Though, I wouldn't recommend my person as they are expensive ... $25/year.

I've got a domain from namecheap. I haven't had any problems with them.

They don't do packages with domains, but you can get a domain from www.surpassdomains.com if you want one with Surpass.

in my opinion... if a domain name comes with a "package" there is a catch. My friend did that dealio one time with a hosting company, 6 months later she decided to change hosting companies that one she had was always slow and had a weird problem of displaying other website's graphics on her site... well, it was a popular site and when she asked to have the dns servers changed, (she didn't have control of the domain name, so she couldn't do it herself) they said no because they owned the domain name not her, and it was only for her use as long as she was with that hosting company.

And no matter what, whether the hosting company registers it for you or you register it, it will always be "somewhere else" unless you buy it from Surpassdomains.com and have hosting here. (or another hosting company that offers domain registration service). Hosting companies that don't offer domain registration have to register it somewhere... where do you think they register it? .... somewhere else....
