Hi,
As the title says, how is it determined what server a new client is assigned to? And if possible (i'm really hoping it is), what server would i be added to right now suppose i'm going to sign up (which i'm leaning heavily to) ... and where can i find actual server down-time logs regardings this particular server and other servers? Also, any chance of how i can find out sites hosted with surpasshosting? I'd like to search quite a few of them and see how the actual speeds are and what not! a lot of requests i know but it'd be greatly appreciated! Firas H. |

I dont work for surpass, so my word doesn't go for certain...
I think the current server for new users right now is sea. Downtime logs I have no clue as to where to find those... Sites to check out for speed (these are all on dime10): http://www.aboutdivorce.com http://www.2computertechs.com http://www.metrobackup.com Please look at the members signatures throughout the forums. Many other sites for examples there as well..

We get a new shared server about every 2 weeks.
There is virtually no network downtime. Some servers get rebooted more than others, this is because of a variety of reasons, some unexpected. All of our servers have above 99% uptime, which we advertise. The current server accounts are being put on is called Viva. Patrick, Sea was like a month ago. ![]() Pixel was the one before Viva.

so since Viva has been running, there has been no problems with it what so ever? (nevermind reboots). how many people are on this server?
Sorryfor all the questions. It's just quite surprising to see "no virtual downtime". :P |

![]() We post every issue that occurs to our servers on their own board in Server Announcements. Each server also has a summary of everything that has occured and on what date.
