Can I backup my files

Is it ok If I backup my files on the web space. The plan I will get will be 7gb. I have about 3 gb of documents, music and compressed applications. I wanted to know if it was ok to upload them, I dont want my account terminated because I am backing up my mp3's. I am not distributing them. Just backup. I will make a passworded directory and everything, It doenst even have to be in the public_html.

hi Vinny77 - that is a good question and comes up ocassionally.

the way to think of the TOS agreement regarding remote file storage is like this...if the content is the server it's intended for use by more than one person, hence it's on a web server, and not for personal storage.

might this slide by undetected and never cause a problem? perhaps. it does however violate the TOS. the usual remedy is suspension/deletion.
