Question OC5 Nitpicky Domain Question

I am VERY interested in opening up an OC5 account with Surpass Hosting. The price is unbeatable for the services, and many reliable sources have pointed me here. However, I am working under a very very strict budget (for a few school clubs) and I have a nitpicky question:

We do not have any Domain registered yet. I know that the OC5 plan lists 2 Parked Domains and 2 add on domains, but do I have to pay extra to register a domain for the first time? In other words, if I were to go out and pay 59$ for an OC5 account, would I get a domain with that, or would I have to pay an extra 16$ to register a domain for the first time?

This probably doesn't impact my decision directly, but I NEED to know in order to request the EXACT amount of money from the school for our budget. Thanks.

Yes, you would have to purchase your domain seperately from the hosting package. No plans at Surpass give you a domain.

Add-on and parked domains are additional domains that you can add to your account. More information about them can be found here; What Would You Do If...

The reason Surpass doens't give you domains with your account is that a) it raises the price of the hosting, b) many people already have a domain and c) it allows the hostees to have full control of their domain if they choose to leave.

You can also save a lot of money registering your domain at GoDaddy.com rather than at Surpass Domains.
