I've been thinking about buying this OC-10 package over the OC-5 package because I want to resell. I read in the forums that you get 10gb space and 10gb bandwidth for your main site and another 10gb space and 200gb bandwidth to resell. The only problem is my main site will need to take up more than 10gb of bandwidth per month (it is not going to be only hosting). Is there a way to get more bandwidth for the main account or can I somehow resell to myself for free to get more bandwidth?

Easy fix for that. Get a free subdomain at http://www.afraid.org and use it as your main domain. (I recommend an "afraid.org" name, not any of the other ones, as they tend to expire)
Use the subdomain as your "main account" and add your regular domain as a resold account. That way, you can give it as much bandwidth as you want. Easy fix. ![]()

Usually people setup their main domain under their reseller account, and sign up for the reseller plan itself with some other domain, such as mysitedns.com (any site that isn't going to use that much resources). That is the easiest way.. but if you'd rather not do that, then when you sign up we can move some things around. If you do sign up, email sales surpasshosting.com afterwards about the request and they will fix everything up.

Ok I might also just do my hosting under a seperate domain name and add myself to reseller. I will also think about your solutions too. Alright here's another question. Say I ran out of space for reseller accounts. It looks like it is alot more expensive to get upgrades to your current account so would buying another OC-10 be better? I want to be able to still have the same domain for the hosting. Or could I just pay for another OC-10 and Surpass can just add the space and bandwidth onto the current account? Sorry if this is confusing.. I'm limited on money so I need the cheapest and easiest way.

You can have as many OC10 accounts as you want.. hehe.. I don't think Surpass would mind.

Well this is what I'm planning on doing.. I'm going to offer extremely cheap hosting so that I can get a lot of clients. My plans is to offer 1gb space with 20gb bandwidth for only $3 a month. So to have 10 users would take all my space. Being so cheap it should sell fast thus I will have to buy more OC-10's. Here's my math: $3 x 12 months x 10 users = $360 - $160(OC-10) = $200. So I made $200 in profit and the OC-10 payed for itsself. Now multiply that by like 10 OC-10's and you get.... $3600 - $1600 = $2000 a year in profit. I may adjust the prices but we'll see.
