bandwidth on order

When I went to submit my order for the Surpass reseller package, it says this:

Resellers: Surpass
3000 MB Web Space
10000 MB Transfer
EMail Addresses:Unlimited

I thought the Surpass package was supposed to have 30GIG, which would be 30000 MB Transfer?

It is listed as 30 gigs. I think maybe it's just a typo or something. Your main account does get 10 gigs of bandwidth, and then you get the 30 to resell. maybe that is what it is referring to.

Hmm. This seems to be a pretty common misconception. Maybe Kayla could clear up the system.

When you go through to buy a reseller, it (WHM Autopilot) reads the settings for the MAIN account that will be set up... That is the one that Surpass gives you for free, so you're not using up space from your reseller portion. Because that free space gives you 10GB bandwidth, that's what's listed there. You will have 30 GB additional to spread out to your clients or other websites, whatever you bought the reseller for. Not ifs, ands or buts about it, what's going on is allll normal.

When you order a reseller account, a note explaining this is even on the page itself, on each plan. But it gets missed somehow.

http://www.surpasshosting.com/order/step_one.php?gid=2

Quote:
Note: These specs are for your main, free domain which must be set up first. You will receive the amounts on our website in your reseller control panel.
To explain that note further: Your main account only gets 10GB. This is written on the reseller page of our website also. When you order, the order system has to set up that account first, so the page states 10GB transfer.

The "reseller" portion of your account is simply a list of features that get added later by the system. The bulk of your account, if you will, is the main account itself .. which does not get the same amount you receive to resell.
