Hi
Hi I am looking at buying the standard web hosting plan for $4.94.
I have been looking for a new webhost for over a week now since for some reason my last web host is no longer communicating with me. So what I want to know is - If I purchase this plan - Will I be able to upgrade at no extra cost later down the road? What If I only keep this plan for say 3 months and then decide I want to upgrade to the next package availalbe, can I do that without paying any other cost apart from the monthly fee. I plan on paying per month. Also I have read a lot of bad reviews, this has worried me, but I think I am still willing to sign up. |

You will be able to upgrade. There is no "upgrade fee".
A lot of bad reviews? Which comments concerned you the most? There are three sides to each story.

To answer your question, yes, you can upgrade whenever you wish to the next level or even from shared to dedicated. There are no "upgrade fees". The way it typically works is that they refund a pro-rated refund determined by the time left in your substription, then you start fresh with the new plan.. In most cases you remain on the same server, so there's no reason to worry about backing up and moving your files, but if you do have to change servers, support will do that moving for you.
As for the reviews, you must remember that some people are very judgemental over minor incidents. I'm by no means claiming they're exaggerating, but a lot of people do. Surpass has flaws, but in the time I've been here, they've done pretty well to recover from them and prevent them from re-occuring. Feel free to ask any additional questions. |

What makes me most concerned is loss of communication. Like I stated in my first post my current host has stopped all communication with me. I have heard this host has a rep for doing the same. I only have a small site as well. I know there is always this forum to come and ask questions, but if I need support with my account directly, I cant afford to be waiting more then 48 hours to get a response. I also cant afford for my website to be down longer then 60 minutes (which is frustrating enough).

Thanks for considering us, Yaru.
It's correct, there are no upgrade fees. An upgrade fee really doesn't make much sense to us, so we don't have them. ![]() Our technical support department responds in about 5 minutes initially. If you just have a small site, I can't really imagine that you would run into any major issues or problems. |
