Software spec questions

I'd like to know a little more about the shared oc-5 plan before purchasing.

What version of PHP do you currently support? And do you plan on upgrading to PHP5 if you haven't already?

What PHP extensions are installed? Specifically, would I have access to the gd2 library?

What version of MySQL do you guys use?
What table types are supported?
Are persistant connections allowed?

Is access to the curl library enabled?

What version of Apache is installed, and which, if any. .htaccess overrides are allowed?

Is shell access allowed?

Based on my CPanel, here's the versions:

Apache: 1.3.33
PHP: 4.3.11
If you want PHP 5, they have webdev plans available.
They do have GD enabled, I use it for a number of things. PHPInfo() says curl is enabled too.

Apache overrides are enabled, I don't think they restrict any.

Shell access isn't allowed by default, I don't know if you can get it or not on an oc-5 plan.

Kayla or someone could probably tell you more.

That's all I know.

mysql version: 4.0.25-standard
cPanel Build: 10.2.0-STABLE 83

You can get Shell access for an OC5 account, but like always, it's an extra fee for security reasons.

I believe mySQL tables are MyISAM and you're allowed 15 persistent connections, though remote connections are not recommended, nor supported.

although just to confirm, i've used remote mysql for a game i was making without any issues thus far.

Look into webdev plans for all the latest software and tools to help develop web-based software.

There's not much they wont let you run php extention wise, you can just ask if it's not there.
