Quick Question about Flash!

I want to host a Flash site. There will be some Shockwave 3dmesh involved as well. I know that Surpass offers Flash support, but does it support other Macromedia products as well? And how easy is it to update and test the functionality? What I am asking is, windows blocks activex controls. Will the server block them as well?

What other types of supported products are you refering to? I'm not aware of anything Macromedia has that requires specific support, other than Flash, which is why I'm asking.

As for updating and testing, it's easy. Just upload, load int he browser. And I don't believe the servers block activex controls, but I could be wrong.

As far as I know, ColdFusion is the only Macromedia product not supported by Surpass. You can easily connect with Dreamweaver or Contribute.

I can't comment on ActiveX as a) I don't use Internet Explorer and b) I've never worked with ActiveX.

You could always e-mail presalessurpasshosting.com and get word from them.

Thanks for the help! I recently purchased the Studio 8 suite. I also have Director. I am not starting my own server, so I am not worried about ColdFusion. I am, however, very interested in the rest. I enjoy the extra security that Flash has to offer. Again thank you both.

Not a problem. Studio 8 is a great package... can't wait until they open up the free upgrade thing (bought MX 2004 about a week before the release). There should be no problems, but do let us know if you run into anything weird.
