3 Reseller Questions ...
Please excuse me for sounding uninformed but I just had a bad experience with another reseller I had and I'm kind of reseller leary and weary about having to start all over.
First, if I sign up for the Supra reseller account (Includes WHM AutoPilot) I only owe $39.99 Monthly unless I go over my alloted disk space and bandwidth, correct? Second, can I make my own plans or do I have to duplicate the ones you provide? Third, all monies from my clients go directly to me and I just pay my monthly fee no matter how much of a profit I'm making? |

1) Correct.
2) Your plans can be anything you want as long as they don't go over the limits set by your reseller master plan. 3) Correct. Surpass does not contact your clients directly. This also means you have to handle your own support, etc.

Thank you benjamin. I understand I have to provide all the customer support etc. for my clients. I've been a reseller for a year. I can handle that and the long hours. It's the starting over that has got me discouraged. *sigh*
Seems like this might be the place I need to get the boost I'm looking for. I've been looking at several other reseller hosts the last few days and I keep finding my way back here. I just can't seem to get the courage to click the "sign up" button. Which tells me I'm not ready .... yet. Dang it! ![]() I'm hanging out though and I got my questions answered so I'm one step closer to taking the dive again. ![]() One other question ... when I left my other reseller they wouldn't allow me to take my clients with me. Does Surpass have the same policy? Last edited by Uneek; September 28th, 2005 at 5:32 PM.. |

I'm on a reseller plan myself and they're the best (for those of us who can't justify a dedicated server). You can always email sales for anything we humble Surpass customers can't answer (sales or presales at surpasshosting.com).
Good luck!

Thanks again benjamin. I edited my post while you were replying. Do you know the answer to this?

Nothing much to add but since you said to keep talking...
As we both stated, Surpass has no contact with your customers and it seems inconceivable that any host would hold your clients hostage... though of course moving everyone wouldn't be a simple task.

Uneek - First of all, welcome to Surmunity. ![]() If you've read much in the forum, you'll see that we're a dysfunctional little family, but family all the same. We'll help whenever and however we can. You can count on that. As for moving, your current host isn't using CPanel by any chance are they? If so, Surpass can move all of your accounts for you. I don't see how your old host figures that they can lay claim to your customers. Personally, I'd tell them to pound sand and do my best to take them with me anyway. Surpass has no policy like that, and this is actually the first I've heard of any hosting company trying to pull such a trick. Feel free to ask as many questions as you want, and we'll do our best to answer them. John
