Question Sub domain support via DNS and VHost Wildcards

Hi,

I am really liking what I have seen of Surpass Hosting so far. I have one deciding question that I cannot find a clear answer to in the forums of FAQs, hence this post. Here goes ...

I need a hosting plan that allows me to automatically create subdomains for users that register on my community site. That is, I need to create subdomains of the form:

username.mydomain.com

My community software automatically supports this, but it relies upon host support for DNS and VHost wildcards (i.e., *.mydomain.com DNS entry + *.mydomain.com ServerAlias and rewrite rules in httpd.conf).

I read elsewhere that Surpass supports this; however, I have not been able to determine if this is with dedicated servers only or also with shared hosting and reseller accounts. I'm not interested in dedicated hosting, so I need to know if this is supported on Surpass shared hosting or reseller accounts. Can someone please confirm this? Thanks,

Dondi.

Does your script use rewrite rules in httpd.conf or .htaccess?

Thx fwwebs5. The script uses rewrite rules in httpd.conf.
