What to do

Ok im a n00b. But i want to make a site where my friends and i can post pics and some vids. I just want something simple and cheap. But at the same time alot of webspace for the content and it has to be fast. . . i mean i want to be fast atleast. What should a guy like me get?

Any of the plans would be fine for that. They all come with the ability to build a site such as what you are talking about. For pic and vid uploads, you could use Coppermine, which is in Fantastico. The only plan differences would be if you need more space or your site uses lots of resources, which it doesn't sound like it would from that description.

I agree with David. Use Coppermine. I used it to run a media site [videos, pictures, sounds, etc] for nearly a year. Bandwidth gets spendy though..

Coppermine is what I used to use until I bought the Gallery addon for Invision Board. It's a good piece of software that does a lot. And you're right...bandwith can be a pain, but I guess it just depends on how many friends he has. Heh, my site's are lucky to be used by just me lol
