Need account email to sign up for VPS

We currently have an OC10 account and are trying to sign up for a VPS account. When asked for an email address to keep it on the same account, the message says it is invalid.

I opened a ticket last night and all the guy did was reset the password on our cpanel!! LaughLaughLaugh, that's not what I asked for!

Is there somewhere I can see what email address is assigned to our account?

Thanks!

I think you can see it in your main domain cpanel under contact...

Do you have the original emails from Surpass on the OC10 account setup? It should be there. Another good reason folks to save those emails.

Also are you trying to setup the upgrade from OC10 to VPS on the same account? You don't want to do that. You want to setup a VPS new account and after it is up have Surpass move the OC10 data over to the VPS. After you confirm all is good then cancel the OC10 account.

I just did this in May upgrading from a OC5.

The VPS accounts are of a different login, thus you have to create a new login for the upcoming VPS purchase.

For example, you are not on a VPS currently nor have had a VPS, and so you must create a new login when purchasing a VPS. Now with that new login, you can use it for anymore VPS accounts you wish to start.

They have devisions... so Shared/Reseller have their own login, VPS have their own Login, and Dedicated/Colocation Servers have their own login. This is due to the fact that those services are different from each other, like Dedicated Server peps have a dedicated control panel, not the regular one like shared/reseller. And VPS services have their own server-like needs, so they have a seperate control panel as well.

Thanks! That helps a lot. I also got a response from a ticket I opened too.

Well, we made the plunge and bought a VPS-2 account. We're excited about it as it's the next step to our company's growth. I hope we work our way out of the VPS soon so we can tackle a standalone!

Appreciate the response!

Appreciate the appreciation Yeah, having a server is FUN. Your experiences with a VPS are close to a dedicated server, very close, since you have similar functions that can be done on a dedicated, just not as much power (in a way).

I switched to a dedicated too soon, but am finding ways to get things working in terms of funding. Once your business has enough for a dedicated server, go for it, you'll LOVE the power!

Or in cases like myself redirecting hobby funds to this stuff. I don't do adds and have no desire to be a reseller but wanted more control that VPS gives, shared was just not enough.

Maybe someday if my sites and forums grow and I get back into blogging a Dedi will be for me. May have to dump a few other hobbies to do it when the time comes though.

Hope you find it suits all your currant needs.
