Exclamation Order Details

Hi guys,

I'm an existing surpasshosting member and I was just trying to apply for a new shared hosting plan for a friend of mine. He's already got a domain name, so he will just update his Nameservers.

My question is about the order details that appear after a couple of steps through registration, the page on which the total amount that is due appear.

I'm getting the following:

Domain:
I will update my nameservers only.
Main Package Power:
12-Months $65.00 + Setup: FREE

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Package(s) Prorated (This Month Pro-Rated 28 days) $5.06

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sub Total $5.06
Total Due $5.06* <<< why just $5.06?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* $65.00 will be due on the next renewal date: 10/01/2006 <<< 2006??
(Domain renewals billed separately.)

I'm just a bit confused , can you guys clarify how much and when I will be billed?

Thanks,
AEvision.

This is the prorated price. Here is how the system works...

When you signup for a package, a prorated fee will be changed for the remaining days of the month. By prorated, it is referring to the credits/value of the rest of the month. So, , you pay the value remander of the the month (28 days of a $6 value, makes $5.06). Once the 1st of the next month hits (10/1/06), then the actual billing starts (meaning the regular monthly or yearly fee will happen, and will reoccur from that date).

So, if your going for the $65 yeerly option, it will charge around $70.06 in a total (from $5.06 now to $65 the next month), and then it will last until 10/01/07.

This new system has been placed since the beginning of this year, so it is abit new and thus not everyone knows.

It says 2006 though. That's weird, if you're paying yearly.

It means you pay $5.05 for the current remainder fo the month, then you will be billed for the yearly reoccuring on 10/1/2006 (bill due then). This will then extend time til 10/1/2007.

After that, you only have to pay the yearly fee (no more prorated) every October 1st. This is only for new accounts (not new clients, new account).

Hopefully that is more clear.

No problem! I was confused at first, as well, when I purchased my dedicated server (which has the prorated thing). It is just how the newly inputted system works is all.

No problem here It can be abit confusing, just make sure you have around $65 on the first of October, or you may even wait until then to pay if you wish..
