Trust me, I'm not a fan of drama. I had a fairly simple question and wanted a fairly simple answer but someone stopped that from happening.

My budget for the immediate future are my own funds. I know that may sound weird for a celebrity. I have yet to get official approval. I'd expect a few thousand for web site devlopment and hosting. She's on the verge of a record contract. She's currently on a FOX show. If she gets signed, I'm sure the budget would increase quite a lot.

I don't think I'd be allowed to add an ad to an official site. That's not generally something celebrity's official sites have.

I don't understand what you mean. I never asked for free hosting. I asked for special hosting. That would be able to handle sudden, large loads. I offered a plug for their help. I asked no one for charity.

Well, I wish you good luck there... but you should see how popular she is before making big purchases.

Yeah, if it is a dedicated celebraty page, your correct. I've seen some official show websites have ads, though not many...

Well, I meant like... well... I guess I don't even understand myself there :P I'd say a good "special" would be shared hosting (if you have to just get an approval) then a VPS package. Once traffic becomes over baring for the poor VPS, then it is dedicated server time.

Hope I could help abit : /

I've seen tons of Celebrity sites and show/movie sites with advertising. It all works internally usually (as in, it benefits themselves or the company they are with), but I've seen them all over the place. Record companies love to do that.

Also, who is this celerbrity? I'm missing why this has to be so secretive. And when it comes to Fox, good luck. I'm selling Lindavester.net because they have ignored me for years, despite the popularity and growth of the site which it seems gets mistaken for her actual site by practically everyone who visits it.

It's not. I just didn't see that is was related to the question. However, it's Carly Patterson

Yes, I'm currently talking to her agent in regards to funding. They seem to be postive about it. I don't know how long before I'll see it in my hand though. What would you suggest for hardware and what types of prices am I looking at?

Thanks for the update. Please keep us posted.

I would recommend any server in the "Enterprise Level Servers" to start:
