Special Hosting for Celebrities?

I might become the webmaster for the site of a celebrity. She's not a huge celebrity but she's not unheard of. She's a friend of mine. I've actually been with Surpass for like over a year, however, I was wondering if I gave a plug to Surpass if I could get some special hosting. I don't really know what I'm looking for.... high uptime would be a huge thing. Also, it would have to be able to handle large, sudden loads. It would normally be about 3,000-5,000 unique a day but it could jump to 25,000 to 100,000+ a day. She's on a FOX show every Thursday and when it airs, hits go way up. Would Surpass be able to do something like this?

pipdipchip,

Thanks for your interest to persue this with us. We can offer you a nice discount in exchange for the plug sure. For that kind of hosting you would be looking at some type of 2 server load balance. Maybe 1 powerful one to start and add the other later.

What is the budget on the hosting look like?

Is this a serious request, or one like this: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,16637281

Excuse me? No, I wanted to waste my time and write a fake post, just for fun. As a moderator, I would expect some help from you. Not another insult. You refer me to Surpass and you've been an ass ever since. Go watch some porn or something - http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,16834832

You are excused. It was a serious and legitimate question since it seems you go all over the 'net looking for handouts; it's just too bad that you answered my innocent question so childishly.

By the way, I'm not a moderator here.

What have I ever done wrong? I posted twice looking for legitimate help and both times you're gone out of your way and off-topic to distrust my question. For hardly knowing me except for two forum posts, a comment like "all over the 'net looking for handouts" is a pretty bold statement. Sorry about the moderator comment, but on every other forum I've ever gone to, a name in a different color and in bold has denoted a moderator. Sorry. Obviously a forum you post in isn't a good place to ask for help.

Wowza, talk about drama.

Anyways, Emmanuel did ask you what your budget is, so he can help you out (which he does well, I have experience as such ) Those with Purple names are just "Surpass Fans", or those who enjoy the service. Those with Blue can be moderators, but some staff that actually visit Surmunity...

If you want somethign do-able, you can start out on either a VPS or low model Dedicated Server. if the celebraty is as famous (or at least, in a TV show in general), I'm sure you'll have enough funding to go by. Then you can place ads to pay it off, as 10,000+ traffic can make you great amounts of ad revenue (over the $XXXX monthly protential).

Surpass is a company, not a charity. Although they treat the customers over all else, they still aren't a charity.
