[Answered] Signing up

Hi there,

I know this isnt the right place to post this, but i can't find a forum that fits, and it's the only one where i can post without registering so...

I signed our company up for hosting last night. We plan on using the site strictly for hosting static webpages. The issue is we need it up right away - as Moneris needs to see a "real website" before they approve our online merchant account. We're in a big rush as our marketing campaign starts Friday, and we need the online account approved.

Is there anyway to contact someone to ask them to expedite the 24 hour review period? We havent gotten our email yet. FYI, this is for the Vantage Speaker site.

Let me know, thank you very much! Looking forward to a long and happy partnership

I am sure that you'll receive your account information shortly. Please understand that they have the 'review period' to help weed out spammers and the like who sign up for accounts, abuse the systems, then abandon them...

If you have your pages ready, you can have your site online shortly after getting the account information.

When you get the account information, you'll just push the pages up using FTP, and change the DNS addresses at your domain registrar. 4-48 hours everone on the web will see you. Most of the US will be propagated within 8 hours.

Thank you for your prompt response!

I don't mean to be rude, but basically what i hear you saying is that there is nothing I can do to speed it up. I understand why there is a review period, but i'd like to think that im demonstrating how serious i am by posing these questions, and there is some way of helping to expedite the process.

I've always heard how good the customer support is for Surpass, but one concern we had with the lack of a phone number is how well individual needs are met through a community forum like this.

Well, ill patiently wait and see.... but i guess im a bit disappointed that there isnt anything I can do to speed this process up. IMO, flexibility is a key attribute in any partnership.

Anyway, thanks again for your response.

Just a heads up here, 99% of people on these forums are not employees of Surpass, BigJohn was only trying to be nice and helpful.

The only thing you could try is going through The Surpass Helpdesk and contacting Sales as that is who provides the support.

Just to let you know I have been with them over a year and a half and never had a problem with not having a phone number to call them on.

Didnt realize that people moderators werent employees - thanks for that tidbit.

And i know he was trying to be nice (which is why i thanked him to begin with), it's just in dealing with so many vendors, i get tired of them not wanting to tell me "no, can't
be done", and shrouding it in a bunch of nice words. If it can't, i'd prefer people just said so. Saves everyone time!

Anyway, i've tried creating a ticket through the helpdesk, so hope that works. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yea those of us in Purple are Surpass Fans who are or have been rather active and supportive of surpass and Surmunity. The Blue are the moderators and just a few of those are Surpass staff and not all staff that float through are moderators. And then you have the Green folks who are Admin.

Welcome to Surpass and Surmunity.
