Smile Add-on Domains

I currently have 7 domains at a different host. Due to problems, I am considering a switch to Surpass. Can you confirm that with the Power (Shared) account I would be able to bring my 7 domains over and host them all for a total of $6 per month. My main question is just to clarify that "Add-on Domains" doesn't mean that there is an extra fee to use each of the 10 allowable domains. Thank you!

The 10 addon domains is on top of the 1 main account domain so you can in fact have 11 domains on that 1 account. The cost show is the cost you pay. No extra cost to use the 10 addons. So you should do fine there.

Any further questions ask away. Someone will be glad to help.

Question about the addon...

I've had this domain and hosting for a bit now with just the one domain. BUT I am considering hosting another domain for my friend as long as the "addon domains" doesn't mean that whatever domain I add to the account isn't directed to my website. I want her domain to point to her site, not mine.....

When you create an add-on domain, it loads the files out of a directory that you specify off of your main /public_html/ directory.

www.mymaindomain.com loads from /public_html/
www.myaddon-1.com loads from /public_html/myaddon-1/
www.myaddon-2.com loads from /public_html/myaddon-2/

Hopefully that makes sense.

Great way to explain it, thank you!

Does anyone have further questions on add-on domains?

Nope, cpanel does that for you when you try to add the addon domain (which is done through your cpanel)

Bind reloading on sh126 using rndc zone: [myspacelyts.net] The subdomain, vampireswill.myspacelyts.net has been added.

Created DNS entry for vampireswill.com
vampireswill.com was successfully parked on top of vampireswill.myspacelyts.net

It will not work until you change the nameservers of the domain to point to the server just like you did with your website
