Question about server resource use in reseller accounts

Hi,

I'd like to purchase a reseller account, one for $15/mo would be enough for me space/bandwidth wise.

I currently run a forum that gets about 2500 unique visitors per day and 25,000 pageviews per day, this is using vBulletin. Is that OK server use?

Also, is SSH access included, or is that an extra?

Thanks,
Edmunds

For that kind of load, especially with VB, I'd recommend a dedicated server, or perhaps a VPS.

As Bigjohn pointed out, a dedicated server or VPS would work best. Why? You might be able ot handle the bandwidth and storage usage, but it depends on CPU/etc load on the server your account might take.

Your forum might function well and not have to worry about anything, just seems, depending on how the forum was setup, it might not work well on those shared servers. So, you might want something more of dedicated resource terms (server or VPS).

SSH is a one time fee of $15 (I believe) for accounts other than VPS or Dedicated Servers. The reason is so that people whom know what they are doing and actually need the feature use it, increasing security and stability of the server. Those whom pay usually commit or know why.

Hope we could help you.

And, on a VPS, you don't have to worry about some other shared / reseller being hacked and taking you down...
