PHP 5.1

Hello

For our website, we will require PHP 5.1 to be available within a few months. Does SurpassHosting have any plans to run PHP 5.1 soon? From what I've seen, it only has 4 and 5.0 at the moment.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Dietrich. On the shared server I am currently on it is running PHP Version 5.1.4.

Though, because php 4 and 5 can be used you would have to create a .htaccess file to use the .php extension with php 5 or use the extenstion .php5

Normally if the server your on does not have the latest version, you can just drop them a note to upgrade it for you anyway.

Thanks.

Does this also apply to the WebDev hosting plans (where it still says PHP 5.0.4)?

drop a ticket in and ask if it can be upgraded, it may not be able to on webdev depending on whether other software supports the upgrade but there is no harm in asking

in that case i guess its a matter of putting upgrade requests in if people have different versions on different accounts
