VPS

I am thinking about moving from reseller to VPS and was wondering a few things...

On VPS can you do streaming technology... like icecast?

How many VPS clients are on each server... and how much oversell occurs with the bandwidth and space limits?

Is there any live support options?

Last night I signed up for a competitor b/c of support and other stuff... but now that I look more I see Surpass has more space and bandwidth.... but I am afraid alot of it is oversell... as I have seen with my normal account... for example space ran out on the server with me only using 10% of my allotedspace....

Thanks
dak

What is your meaning of "live support"?

I don't think it will be that long. No worries!

I *think* icecast is allowed IF it doesn't affect others on the server, and it will use a lot of your CPU allowance.

It should be fine, really depends on how many people are accessing the stream, not just running the stream itself. But I have no real experience with Icecast so I cannot be for certain yet. As lonelydreamer said, it *may* use a lot of your CPU right off the bat, without the users in mind.
