Clueless with questions..

I have a domain name I purchased from godaddy with no host server service. On the free godaddy starter page they gave me I have a link to the free website I have.

If I sign up with surpass am I good to go from there where I can start designing my site? Do I have to do something with that free godaddy starter page?

Also, is it possible to transfer the pages from the free website to here?

After you sign up for service from Surpass, you will receive a welcome email within approximately 24 hours or sooner. In that email will be the name servers that you need to use to point your domain name to Surpass servers.

After you get this information, log into your account at Godaddy and choose "Manage Domains", from there click on your domain name, then click on "Name Servers" and type in the same name servers that you get from Surpass in the welcome email.

Wait 24-72 hours for your domain to propagate and you will be all set.

Nice knowledge base there, markscns

Just for future reference, onceuponacake, all you ever have to do is update the nameservers with those provided You are free to host the domain (in this case, GoDaddy) anywhere you wish.

Anything else we can help you with?

Similar Question

I also just purchased a domain name from godaddy.com and would like to be hosted at Surpass but this "nameserver" thing has got me all confused. Could someone please explain it a bit more clear?

After you sign-up for hosting from Surpass, they will send you the name servers that you need to enter at Godaddy.

Then using my step-by-step instructions above, you will put those into the manage domain area of GoDaddy.
