Primary domain

I'd like to sign up with you as soon as possible (preferably today), but don't have the domain I'd like to be connected to my account yet. I do have another domain I could sign up under in the meantime, though.

My questions:

1) Does the domain I enter have to already be registered, or can I simply enter the name of my soon-to-be domain?

2) How difficult would it be to change the primary domain later on?

1) You can sign up with a soon-to-be domain, no problem. Just keep in mind you would have to access Cpanel and your site through IP/~username given to you in the welcome email.

2) This is also not difficult as it's just a simple change in WHM. I am sure all you would have to do is submit a ticket to the helpdesk and they would take care of this for you. http://desk.surpasshosting.com

I believe for the first 30 days, you can have your domain changed for free, then after that, there is a small charge (something like $15)
