Add-on domains

I couldn't find a definitive answer on the site - are add-on domains an additional charge? I have three domains I need to transfer, so one would be the main and then two add-ons. Thanks!

On each plan there are a certain amount of add on domains,
http://www.surpasshosting.com/hostingplans.php

They are free with each plan.

I believe all additional domains for shared are $15 one time fee for each one. This only applies after you reach the limit that Kayla mentioned (link to the plans where you see their limits).

Oh - wait - I just saw there were 10 add-on domains on the Power Plan. Is the additional charge for every one over 10?

In each plan, the number of add-on domains are listed beneath the dual-core technology link. So for:
1) Power Shared Plan ($60/yr) has 10 add-on domains (or parked domains)
2) OC5 Plan ($50) has only 5 add-on domains.

Anything over these numbers would have a one time charge (per domain) as GamingHybrid said.

Power has more space and bandwidth than OC5; but OC5 qualifies for free SSH based on other posts here. So it really depends on what your needs are.

So your 3 domains would fit either one of the two plans at no extra charge. The 2nd & 3rd domains would be in a subdirectory of your main domain. They look like sub-domains, but you address them directly by their domain names.

If you want to keep your domains separate, with their own cPanel configuration, then a reseller plan would be more appropriate.

You have 10 Addon domains to use. If, say, you need to go over that limit (11 domains) the charge is $15 per additional addon domain. That is a one time only fee for each addition addon that goes over your limit.

Keep in mind, Reseller, OC10, VPS, and Dedicated services offer unmetered addon and parked domains. So, if you see a continuous need for additional domains, best to just upgrade your plan to a reseller. This can be done very easily via a ticket to support via https://desk.surpasshosting.com

I've got three, and I don't anticipate adding on anymore. They're all for my business (I'm a writer) and I manage them all and if I added anymore, my head would explode and that would be very sad for my kids. So, I think I'm good! But thanks for the info! I've said thanks so much, I feel like a broken record, so just for the sake of variety - Merci! Gracias!
