Talking My Questions

I am thinking of using your service for my company, I have a few questions before I order.

1. Is overselling enabled? (my customers feel more comfortable seeing 100 GB in their control panel, but they probably won't use more then 100 MB)

2. If one of my customers were to put illegal content on their site and I could not terminate it right away, would my account get suspended?

3. If I pay by check, how long does it usually take for my account to get activated?

4. Is it considered illegal to have a website that tells you a few cheats in an online game?

1. Yes!
2. If reported to or discovered by Surpass possible.
3. Would have to be a echeck and account would not be setup till after the echeck cleared.
4. See http://www.surpasshosting.com/content/aup.php "Illegal Usage"

1. It depends on what type of hosting you are looking for. Dedicated - yes. Reseller - no. VPS - I don't know.

2. Obviously Surpass would have the last word on this one, but I suspect they would suspend the account in question, not yours, though that could change if they felt you knowingly allowed the illegal content.

Failure is not an option. It comes standard with all Microsoft products.

I didn't really understand the answers to my first question. I am looking for reseller hosting so I won't be able to oversell?

Unless they've changed something, you can't oversell using a reseller account. I couldn't oversell when I had a reseller account here. I'm now running a dedicated server, and can oversell it.

Thanks for helping out!

Firez, the option to oversell is not enabled by default.

You can request it (via helpdesk) and we can enable it for your account.

This policy changed in the past few months.
