Questions before I move my site here - Page 2

just want to add a comment in, if your old host runs your domain, you might want to ask them about transferring the domain before you tell them you are leaving, as depending how professional they are they may not release the domain, (i say this as it happened to me about 5 years ago and now i run all my own domains in my own account).

with regards to surpass actually installing a script, i've never heard of them doing that but i may be wrong but im sure if you choose to install it yourself and have problems there will be many people happy to give you tips, you will find much more satisfaction aswell from getting it running yourself and will end up learning much more about the program (just my 2 pence

)

meh i would never want to have my registrar and host be combined... nightmare waiting to happen... Seen it happen time and time again (not personally).

Ive seen a startup company hire a design firm that registered the domain they wanted as well. Anyways after he had finished his advertising the design firm showed him a horrible website. He didnt want it, so he wasnt going to take it/buy it, but they had his domain name (and registered it under their name, not even as the registrar, but as their own domain), LOL. So it was either buy the site, get his domain, legal action, or lose the domain. First 2 being quite pricey.

just another Question - how much notice does Surpass need to set up my account as my domain doesnt run out for a few days and ill renew that myself where it is etc

and like ill be backing all the files up eventhough we are starting the site again etc (theres other pages that i could use here on the new site etc)
