Server age?
Hey, I am planing on getting a dedicated server from you guys.. this one.
I was wondering, what is the average age on your servers you rent? are they new or are they already old/rented before hand. Also what is your average time to replace hardware should it break down or have a problem? Christian |

Christian,
It really depends on the type of server and time you order. If we have it in stock we re-use everything EXCEPT the hard drives. We never ever use used hard drives for new servers. Everything else is pretty much none failure. It either works or doesn't. CPU or memory usually never fails once it is working. I would say 99% chance it will never fail. Should the part fail usually within 1-2 hours of when it is confirmed there may be an issue with the hardware. Drive failures take 1-2 hour to replace but restoration of data may be longer depending on the amount of data of course  |
