1. my roommate and I both have several domains, which is why I am looking at the reseller account. We will probably have no more than 3-4 domains between the two of us for a while, but we will probably put more than that up later. Because of this would the pro or extreme account be better to start with now, then upgrade to the reseller account if we put more up or bring others into the picture, or would it be better to start with a reseller?

It might be better for you to start as a reseller or a different package Thats all upto you. oh yea with the resellers plans you get a cpanel which as with out the resellers plan you just point it to a subdomain or to the main domain

2. .asp pages? I have a photography website that is written in asp and I am hoping no not have to redo the databases or have to not use the design

It should work without to much changing IIRC

3. secure ordering - I am wanting to allow people to order photographs from my site, but need to make sure that they can be ordered securely.

PRIVATE ssl is 99 a year. comes with certificate, free setup and dedicated ip
OR shared ssl is 20 a year

5. what is the max size per email? by that i mean can i have a 2 to 3 meg attachment go thru, or will it not send? i often have images i have to work on and send out, and am hoping to just shoot them thru email, but the last hosting company had a 500k limit

IIRC there isnt any max size set by the server.

6. pop or imap - i have been told that due to my habits imap may be better than pop - i run 2 desktops and 2 laptops and i seem to bee constantly redoing my drives and changing things, as well as having several email accounts that i maintain - i am not sure of the differences but i think that imap stays on the server - if that is the case - is it best to have imap setup because of the various systems? i'm wasn't sure if i should add that or not, but hey, why not.

And this is all upto you i like to use the server webmail which you would access via www.yourdomain.com/webmail or http://yourdomain.com:2095
i like the webmail cause you can get to it anywhere. but again its all what you like.

I dont know about number four. maybe somemore else and tell you that or you can go onto aim and IM SurpassLive :-P

If your inquiring about interchange or agora, yes you can, but we don't suggest it. I know an excellent shopping cart that is around 145 dollars, you can do whatever you want with it as far as having multiple shopping carts and such, fully customizable for appearance too.

ASP- We run Redhat Linux servers, so ASP is not immediately supported.

What's the name of the shopping cart, and where can we get it?

i am curious if i can change the mx records on the account for a couple of the add on domains to use everyone.net email service

Our support team can do that for you, just drop them an email.

first.lastnamemydomain.com
emailsub.domain.com

You can have those.

this is to settle a conflict between the roomate and i - he is under the impression that adding domains as a reseller there is a cost to it - my understanding from the faq was that there is no extra cost, and the extra cost came as a 16.99 under the standard packages - thoughts, etc? can ya prove me right and help me keep my dignity of knowledge up? lol

You are exactly right, there are no fees. It clearly says this on the reseller page, show him where it is. Hehe.

Do you have to have a merchant account on the oscommerce or can you do outside billing such as PayPal, StormPay or others?

I would be interested to know...
