Question WHMCS

Hi,

I think Surpass provides WHMCS with a reseller hosting. If we install it and the server hacks when can be hackers see our domain registrar password and the passwords of our all other reseller hosting accounts?

Regards

I don't understand your question at all. Can you rephrase it?

I think he is asking if WHMCS is hacked will the hacker be able to get the passwords of all the accounts under the reseller account and the domain registration passwords... if I read that correctly

1- If you mean if WHMCS can be hacked, I do not think there are any vulnerabilities in it. It should not be very easy to hack, it is a solid program. I haven't heard of anything like that happening before. A Google search just brings up some threads about how the whmcs.com website was hacked once, but that is unrelated to the program.

2- If you mean if our server gets hacked, that has happened to 2 out of hundreds of servers in the past four years.

Sorry my poor English language. I don't say that your servers are unsecure. But if your server gets hacked when hackers can see the domain registrar password from MySQL database? We are using desktop based(offline) billing software now and want to swich WHMCS. But this is a big security risk if it's possible. Because then hackers can be manage all of the domains and we lose management of them. Also then can hackers remove all hosting accounts that hosted on other servers, too? Because we have not one reseller account.

Yeah, you're definitely best off asking WHMCS directly about that: http://forums.whmcs.com/
