Just bought one! However, just to let you know, at the "your order has been received" page, it says that $6.00 will be due on the next renewal date: 02/01/2008. Is that right and then you'll fix it when the renewal time comes? Or should it be changed?

Edit: And blimey! Is that fast! I got the nameserver info straight away! That has to be a record 0 to 100mps at a standing start! Thank you Surpass! And a Happy Christmas/Yule to you!

Did you pay the full amount for the first invoice? I suspect you paid a pro-rated amount for the current invoice, and the invoice due on that date will be the rest of the promotion price.

If not, I am sure staff will see this thread in the coming day.

Dewknight, I didn't pay anything at all. It didn't ask me for any money at the moment because of the promotion, but said that $6 would be due on january 2. That should be $12 and then nothing more until december next year. But as you said, they'll get round to it eventually!

Is it just me, or...?

I have registered during Dec 15 promotion on Facebook (6$ a year), using promo link, and here's what happened:
  • I have chosen to change nameservers only, and applied payment via PayPal;
  • Power Package, one month subscription and holiday_magic promo code were selected by default and unchangeable
  • on the checkout, I have been notified that pro-rated subscription will apply for this month and 6$ monthly subscription will be applied as of 02-jan-2008, totalling in $9.29
  • upon checkout, I have received order confirmation from Surpass, PayPal payment confirmation thatthe transfer has been completed, and Surpass Invoice for $9.29
This was confusing for many reasons:
  • pro-rated subscription hasn't been mentioned anywhere
  • on the checkout, the notification at the top of the page showed the promo being valid from 15 Dec 2007 to 01 Jan 2008 -> however, I used the link in Facebook 6$ promo message, valid only for Dec 15
  • during the whole process, 6$ denoted one-month subscription only, instead of yearly, and I haven't found anything about it in related threads. Such promos usually show yearly subscription, with promo code, which - when applied - deducts amount necessary to bring the total to the announced subscription fee
  • according to this forum, the payment should be postponed until 02-01-2008, which obviously hasn't happened (is it due to the Paypal system?)
So, did everything went as it should, or somebody made a mistake here (and how to correct it)? Thanks very much!

Hi Everyone,

After the advanced planning that we did it seems something was still not right. If you have ordered a Holiday Magic plan, please open a ticket at the helpdesk and let them know of the problem. We are aware of what happened and will be working today to get all of these issues resolved for you. Thank you for your cooperation and patience/

Just wanted to let everybody know how the things have finally been resolved this evening (1 hour past midnight, my time):

- the order has been canceled and
- I have received a full refund,
- along with a link for proper registration, which worked miraculously, and pleasantly Sur-prised me with 0.00$ hosting until 01/01/2009, instead of 6$ I expected. (Lovely gesture!)

Hope that email with other information (FTP, CPanel access, nameservers, etc.) will follow any time now as well, so the sites could be transferred on time.

This has been long 4 days, but Surpass Support team has been in touch with me each day, keeping me updated on the situation, the effort, and the progress they've made re resolving it.

Eh? $6 was expected? I paid $12

Hehe... Not complaining though, it's a great offer.
